Why my course “Differences, Not Deficits” Matters for AuDHD Women

A woman sits at her desk with a coffee, notebook, and laptop, looking thoughtfully focused in a warm, natural-light workspace.

Many of us have piled up course modules, logged in once or twice, and watched guilt creep in as the “someday” folder grows.
But here's the truth: it’s not you.

Traditional self-paced courses are often built for neurotypical learning rhythms — linear, silent, solitary.

If your brain thrives on interaction, visuals, live rhythm, and belonging — that mismatch matters.

In the Differences Not Deficits Course + Sprint, we’ve built in structure you can feel good about, community you can lean into, and visuals you can use to integrate, so transformation actually sticks.

Let’s talk about how that works.

Have you ever felt like you’re too much or not enough — all at once?

Maybe you’ve masked your way through meetings, social settings, or even daily life, never quite sure if you’re hiding who you are… or trying to become someone you’re not.

That’s the starting point of Understanding AuDHD Women: Differences, Not Deficits.

Why this course was born

So many women with both autism and ADHD (AuDHD) find themselves caught in a double-bind:

  • Living in a world built for neurotypical ways of being, thinking, and processing — constantly trying to squeeze in.

  • Carrying internalized messages about being “deficit,” broken, less-than — even when every fiber of you knows there’s uniqueness, purpose, and power within you.

This course grew out of my own journey — through years of self-doubt, masking, exhaustion, and confusion — to the aha moment when I realized: my brain wasn’t the problem.
The problem was never being given the tools, frameworks, or language that made sense for us.
(You’ll find that story woven throughout the course.)

What this course is

This isn’t another “fix-it” program.
It’s a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, visual-and-accessible, 8-module self-paced journey — designed with AuDHD women firmly in mind.

Here’s what you’ll experience:

  • Validation for the dysregulated days, the “too much” moments, and the social miscues no one ever explained.

  • Insight into how sensory overload, masking, executive-function challenges, unrecognized grief, and late or missed diagnosis shape our lives.

  • A narrative shift: from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What makes me powerful, unique, and wired to thrive?”

  • Practical strategies — not just theory — that fit your brain’s style: visuals. structure. rhythm. community.

  • A flexible format that lets you move at your pace — without shame, without pressure to “keep up.”

Who this course is for

For women who identify as both autistic and ADHD (AuDHD) — often navigating late or missed diagnoses, masking fatigue, internalized ableism, relational confusion, and burnout.

If you’ve ever felt:

  • That your differences are more burden than gift.

  • That even though you know you’re smart, gifted, and intuitive, you still can’t figure out how to use it in a way that feels aligned.

  • That you’re done hiding, done shrinking, done believing you must “pass” for normal to belong…

then this course was created for you.

What we cover

Some of the key topics include:

  • The intersection of ADHD and Autism in women — and how those layers play out in life, relationships, and work.

  • The cultural lens of “deficit” and the medical-model narratives we’ve inherited — and how to rewrite them.

  • Unmasking without losing yourself: showing up authentically, safely, and intentionally.

  • Understanding your sensory and regulatory style so you can work with your brain, not fight it.

  • Energy management (not just time management) for a neurodivergent life.

  • Navigating relationships — self, partner, friend, work — with new language and boundaries.

  • Letting go of the “shoulds” and stepping into who you are.

  • Building a community of women who truly see you, get you, and hold you.

Why it matters

Too many of us have been told we’re lesser, too much, weird, or wrong.
We’ve tried to keep up with systems not built for our brains — and ended up frustrated, exhausted, and burnt out.

You don’t need to fix your brain.
You need the right vantage point and tools to align with it — and to honour your gifts.

When you lean into your differences instead of hiding them, you open the door to living fully: meaningfully, joyfully, and authentically.
